Just a quick post to let everyone know that Parker and I have decided not to go to Bangkok. We are staying in Phuket instead so that we can avoid the protests. We are having fun and enjoying the trip so far! :)
I came up with the name of this blog by combining something Thai with something English. "Farang" is what Thai people call foreigners, specifically Americans. Since my ideal place in Thailand is one that involves sitting on the beach, I imagine I will be wearing a a sarong a lot.
I've been inspired to create this blog by my love of lists. I started writing these while I was blogging about my travels in Thailand and they just keep popping up in my head. They help me gain some perspective, insight and a little bit of humor. I hope they do the same for you.
